Inside a classroom in Gaza, young Palestinian children gather daily to sing and play instruments, seeking a rare respite from the conflict raging around them. Despite the war, the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music continues to provide non-stop music education and psychological support to children across the Gaza Strip. Months of conflict and displacement have severely disrupted formal education and daily life for Gaza's children. Aid organizations have repeatedly warned of the deep psychological trauma during this critical development stage due to severe hardship, hunger and loss of security.
