Carney suspends US trade talks, says US 'signature written in pencil'

Canada has suspended trade negotiations with the United States, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said on August 22, following failed talks. Carney accused Washington of wielding economic integration "as a weapon" against allies, adding that the US "would put tariffs on its closest partners."
