UN aid in Gaza squeezed as Israel restricts access and movement

In Khan Younis, the displacement camps are a symbol of the UN’s biggest challenge in Gaza: how to deliver aid when Israel tightly controls access. Families have been displaced multiple times, their homes destroyed or unreachable, and now face winter needing water, medicine and real shelter. The UN says 98% of Gaza’s people urgently need shelter and household assistance, yet more than 60% of the territory lies beyond a “yellow line” where movement is heavily restricted.
