Israel’s wars reshape the middle east as UN rules lose their grip

Israel’s war in Gaza and attacks across Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Iraq have helped turn one conflict into several, with open waters now used as choke points. Iran has invoked Article 51 of the UN Charter, sending missiles and drones far beyond recognized battlefields and linking strikes in one country to responses in others. As Israel keeps testing how far it can go, the question is whether the international system can adapt before the rules remain only on paper.
