Far left wins in Berlin, far right in Germany’s northeast vote: Exit polls

Exit polls in German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania show the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) is receiving the most votes. While Chancellor Friedrich Merz's Christian Democratic Union (CDU) was unable to gather enough votes to get seats in parliament. The Chancellor describing the results as a “disaster”.
