France protests police use-of-force law as videos spark outrage

Thousands have demonstrated in France against proposed legislation that would grant police a presumption of legitimate self-defense when using their weapons. Supporters of the bill say it would better protect officers in the line of duty, but critics condemn it as a licence to kill.
