Three months into his premiership, Britain's Prime Minister Andy Burnham is facing growing pressure to turn his promises of political and economic reform into action. The former Greater Manchester mayor has pledged to shift power away from London, rethink Britain's relationship with Europe and introduce ambitious social reforms. His arrival in Downing Street has helped Labour recover in opinion polls, with the governing party now ahead of its main rivals. But public opinion remains divided, particularly in areas where Reform UK has gained support. Economic concerns also threaten to overshadow Burnham's early popularity, with 74 percent of Britons describing the economy as being in a bad state, according to YouGov. As his government confronts difficult decisions on public debt, defence spending and welfare reform, questions are growing about how much change he can deliver and how quickly.
