US forces have redirected 99 commercial vessels as of September 11 as part of an ongoing naval blockade of Iran, US Central Command (Centcom) said. The naval blockade and recently announced harsher economic sanctions on Iran have so far only prompted more forceful responses from Tehran.
According to Report.az, the US military has allowed more than 50 vessels carrying humanitarian aid to pass through the Strait of Hormuz since the blockade of Iranian ports began.
