Political activist Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is on trial at Southwark Crown Court facing charges of harassment causing fear of violence towards two Daily Mail journalists. Prosecutor Ben Holt told the jury that Yaxley-Lennon, a well-known public figure with over two million followers on X, used "bully-boy, intimidatory tactics" in response to articles published by the Daily Mail about his holiday in Cyprus following the Southport attacks on July 29, 2024. The court heard that Yaxley-Lennon posted on X that the newspaper had "purposely doxed the exact location of my family" and "given the location of where I am with my children knowing full well that people want to kill me." The prosecution stated that Yaxley-Lennon circulated images of the reporters' homes and that his supporters became involved, leading to threats and journalists being forced to leave their homes. Journalist Jacob Dirnhuber reportedly received direct messages from Yaxley-Lennon stating, "I'll be knocking at your door." Yaxley-Lennon has pleaded not guilty, with his defence arguing he acted to protect his family after they were put in danger by the Daily Mail's actions.
