Indian fintech startup Navi has secured $100 million in its first institutional funding round from Prosus, valuing the company at approximately $1.3 billion. Founded in 2018 by Flipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal, Navi offers a suite of financial services including digital payments, lending, and insurance.
The investment comes as Navi is reportedly preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) of ₹30 billion (about $314 million), a plan it had previously abandoned in 2023 after filing for a $440 million IPO in 2022. Bansal, who co-founded Flipkart and left after its sale to Walmart, has personally invested hundreds of millions of dollars into Navi with the aim of building it into a bank.
For the fiscal year ended March 2026, Navi reported revenue of ₹30.91 billion ($323.33 million) and a net loss of ₹4.66 billion ($48.74 million). Its UPI app is the fourth-largest in India, processing over 947 million transactions in July. Navi's lending arm, Navi Finserv, manages over ₹130 billion ($1.4 billion) in assets. The company stated it achieved consolidated profitability in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026.
