Robinhood Markets announced on Thursday that it has received approval from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to launch its retail investing platform in the Middle East. The company plans to establish its regional headquarters in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and offer trading and custody services across all 10 DFSA-approved asset classes, including stocks, crypto, ETFs, and investment tokens. The full product suite is expected to be available in 2027. This expansion marks a significant step in Robinhood's international growth strategy, following its entry into the UK and EU markets. Dubai's status as a financial hub and its clear regulatory frameworks for both traditional finance and crypto were key factors in the decision. Vlad Tenev, Robinhood's Chairman and CEO, stated that the DIFC expansion brings the company closer to its goal of building a global platform. Salah Kaddoura will lead Robinhood's MENA operations.
