Harmonic, the AI startup co-founded by Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, announced on Tuesday its expansion into software and chip design verification with its Aristotle model. The company, backed by NVentures, Sequoia, and Ribbit Capital, raised $120 million last November at a $1.45 billion valuation. Harmonic's AI system, described as "mathematical superintelligence," aims to reduce hallucinations and factual errors. The Aristotle model can now verify software written in C and chip designs in Verilog. Notably, it rebuilt part of the DIII-D fusion lab's reactor-control software in four hours using a research paper and a short prompt. Aristotle is available through usage-based pricing.
