Hong Kong's exchange welcomed its second spot Solana ETF on October 13, 2026, with Pando Finance launching its passively managed fund (ticker: 02831 / 2831.HK). This move introduces direct competition to ChinaAMC's existing product and aims to deepen regulated access to Solana (SOL) in Asia.
Pando's new fund features a 0.6% annual management fee and an estimated 1.6% ongoing charges ratio, significantly undercutting ChinaAMC's spot Solana ETF, which has a 0.99% management fee and a 1.99% expense ratio. The Pando fund tracks the CME CF Solana Dollar Index (Asia-Pacific closing price variant), holds actual SOL without staking or derivatives, and can maintain up to 3% in cash for operational needs.
Trading and custody services for Pando's ETF are managed by HashKey Exchange and HashKey Custody Services, reinforcing HashKey's established role as a licensed custodian for Hong Kong's virtual-asset ETF initiatives. This is Pando's third virtual-asset product, following its Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.
The launch occurs amid strong global momentum for Solana ETFs, which collectively hold approximately $1.9 billion in net assets and have seen $1.61 billion in cumulative net inflows. Hong Kong's 2024 regulatory framework for spot BTC and ETH ETFs paved the way for these SOL products, signaling a shift from regulatory firsts to product differentiation in the market.
