The Doppler Finance XRP Vault has surpassed $125 million in total value locked, holding over 90 million XRP, according to an announcement on October 11, 2026. This milestone positions Doppler as a significant yield destination on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and signals growing institutional interest in XRP-native yield products.
Doppler Finance, previously known as Lotus Protocol, was launched in February 2025 to address the lack of native staking for XRP. The platform utilizes CeDeFi vaults, partnering with institutional custodians like Fireblocks and Ceffu, to implement market-neutral strategies such as spot-perp basis trading and arbitrage. These strategies aim to generate yield, which is currently reported at approximately 3% APR for the XRP Vault.
Across its XRP and RLUSD vaults, Doppler has attracted over $150 million from more than 14,000 depositors. The growth in RLUSD, which recently hit a market cap near $2.5 billion, parallels a broader increase in demand for deploying XRPL-native assets. VivoPower's commitment of $30 million in September 2025 as part of a larger $200 million XRP treasury yield program further indicates institutional appetite.
Advancements in the XRP Ledger infrastructure are also supporting Doppler's expansion. The launch of XRP Ledger version 3.4.0 with a new lending protocol amendment, along with proposals for single-asset vaults and a native lending protocol, are expected to enhance DeFi activity. Doppler has indicated plans for a native XRPL lending product in Q4 2026, contingent on the activation of XLS-66. The recent implementation of the Batch Amendment, which allows multi-transaction settlement in a single ledger close, is also expected to reduce friction for high-frequency strategies employed by Doppler's vaults.
