Ondo Finance has launched an exclusive offering for its OpenAI Private Market Note (OPAIPon), providing tokenized exposure to OpenAI's pre-IPO shares. The subscription period will run for two weeks starting the week of November 2 and is exclusively for eligible Ondo Private Clients, with U.S. persons excluded. This move comes as OpenAI, led by CEO Sam Altman, has postponed its public listing, reportedly due to AI safety concerns, potentially aiming for a 2027 IPO. Meanwhile, competitor Anthropic has advanced its own IPO plans by filing a prospectus with the SEC. The OPAIPon notes offer exposure linked to OpenAI's share value at a liquidity event but do not confer shares or voting rights. The announcement coincided with a more than 2% rise in the ONDO token price on Monday.
