The Korea Exchange (KRX) will introduce an after-market trading session starting next Monday, allowing investors to buy and sell stocks for four hours after regular trading hours conclude. This expansion of trading opportunities is intended to bolster the exchange's competitiveness on a global scale.
The new session will operate daily from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., complementing the existing regular trading hours which run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The KRX stated that the majority of stocks listed on both the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) and the KOSDAQ markets will be eligible for trading during this extended period.
