Israeli army conducts major blast in south Lebanon town

The Israeli military carried out a large-scale detonation in the southern Lebanese town of Khiam, according to Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA). This incident follows earlier Israeli strikes that targeted the towns of al-Mansouri and Sarbin in southern Lebanon.

Further reports indicate broader Israeli military operations in the region, including the burning of homes in Beit Yahoun and the detonation of explosive charges in Hadatha town. These actions are part of ongoing border movements and have led to continuous explosions and targeting of border communities. The Lebanese National News Agency reported these developments, noting that Israeli forces also executed controlled demolitions of buildings in various southern locations.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam conducted a tour of southern areas, emphasizing the necessity of deploying the Lebanese Army to restore national sovereignty and state control. He affirmed Lebanon's commitment to unified state control and sought expanded military presence and international support.

In a separate but related development, the Israeli military conducted a massive explosion between the villages of Kfarhamam and Habbariyeh in Lebanon’s Hasbaya district. Concurrently, Lebanon’s Ministry of Health strongly condemned the abduction of two paramedics affiliated with the Islamic Risala Scout Association by Israeli forces. The ministry stated that the paramedics were taken while evacuating the wounded from the town of Houla, calling the act a violation of international humanitarian laws and demanding their immediate release.
