Malaysian waste oil aggregator FatHopes Energy has expanded its biofuel feedstock trucking capacity by acquiring additional prime movers from domestic logistics firm Hap Seng Truck. This investment is intended to support higher feedstock volumes and the company's ongoing expansion efforts.
FatHopes Energy's enhanced logistics capabilities will bolster its feedstock partnerships and its planned 300,000 t/yr sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and hydrotreated vegetable oil plant located in Port Klang, Malaysia. According to FatHopes Energy chief executive Vinesh Sinha, the company has secured significant feedstock agreements this year. These include a partnership with Chinese renewable fuel consultancy and feedstock brokerage MotionEco to source 200,000 t/yr of used cooking oil (UCO) and other sustainable feedstocks from China. Additionally, FatHopes has partnered with Spanish UCO Trading for over 200,000 t/yr of feedstock globally, and with Vietnamese PetroVietnam Oil Corporation to collect over 200,000 t/yr of Vietnamese feedstocks.
