Explosions reported in Iran's Bushehr and Ahvaz amid US strikes

Multiple explosions were reported east of Bandar Abbas and on Qeshm Island in Iran's Strait of Hormuz, according to state media. These incidents followed the US Central Command's (CENTCOM) announcement of completing a wave of strikes against Iran. CENTCOM stated the strikes aimed to degrade Iran’s ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, hitting dozens of targets including air defense systems, radar sites, small boats, and missile and drone capabilities. In response, Iran launched attacks against US military infrastructure across the region, triggering sirens in Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait. Mehr news agency reported US attacks in Abadan, southwestern Iran, resulting in two deaths and three injuries. Further explosions were reported in Bushehr and Ahvaz.
