- UAE clients will soon be able to purchase and hold actual cryptocurrencies through the Capital.com app.
- This offering contrasts with Capital.com's existing contracts for difference (CFDs) which only provide price exposure.
- Capital Vault operates as a separate regulated entity with its own governance and risk management.
Trading platform and contracts for difference (CFD) broker Capital.com is set to introduce spot cryptocurrency services to clients in the United Arab Emirates. This expansion follows its affiliate, Capital Vault, securing a virtual-asset license from the UAE's Capital Market Authority (CMA).
The newly acquired license enables Capital Vault to act as an agent or matching principal in virtual asset dealings and to offer custody services for clients. Once operational, UAE-based customers will be able to buy and hold actual cryptocurrencies directly through the Capital.com application, a departure from the price-exposure-only model of its CFDs.
