Boeing is expected to report a net loss of $153 million, or 21 cents per share, for the third quarter of 2026, according to LSEG data. This comes despite recent successes including winning the US Navy's F/A-XX fighter contract and certifying the last two 737 MAX variants. The company delivered 363 737 MAX jets in the first nine months of 2026, its fastest pace ever. However, Boeing's share price has fallen 17.3% year-to-date. Analysts note that investors are focused on free cash flow, driven by deliveries, and current drains from 777-9 certification and new defense facility construction. Production rate increases for the 737 MAX and 787 have taken longer than anticipated.
