Aston Villa signs Zion Suzuki for $40 million

Aston Villa has completed the signing of Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki from Italian club Parma for a reported $40 million USD, making him the most expensive Japanese goalkeeper in history. The 24-year-old, who stands at 190 cm, has earned 28 caps for the Japanese national team and was a key player in their 2026 World Cup campaign, where they reached the round of 32.
