In preparation for the FIFA World Cup, a significant number of the tournament's venues have been recognized for their environmental sustainability. Thirteen out of the sixteen stadiums designated for the event have successfully obtained LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. This certification is globally acknowledged as the most prevalent green building rating system. The U.S. Green Building Council confirmed these achievements as the tournament is set to begin.
