On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.2% in July, following a 0.4% increase in June. This was primarily driven by a further increase in the price of services, particularly transport and accommodation, which rose 1.3% and 11.7% respectively. Energy prices also saw a slight increase of 0.9% for the month. Conversely, prices of manufactured products fell by 2.4% due to summer sales.

Year-on-year, the acceleration in service prices (2.5% compared to 2.4% in June) and food prices (1.6% compared to 1.4%) was offset by a sharper decline in energy costs, which fell by 7.2% compared to a 6.7% drop in June. Prices of manufactured products remained stable year-on-year.
