Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil Refinery 1,300 km From Border

Ukraine has launched drone attacks on two significant Russian targets, hitting a major oil refinery complex in the Republic of Bashkortostan and a naval base in the port of Novorossiysk. The Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refinery complex in Bashkortostan, situated approximately 1,300 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, was targeted. This facility is a major producer of various oil products and is noted for its support of the Russian military. A Wildberries warehouse in the same region was also reportedly struck.

In a separate incident, Ukraine launched a drone attack on the Russian port of Novorossiysk, with Russian authorities reporting civilian casualties, including a child, and damage to residential buildings. Ukraine, however, claimed successful strikes on air defense systems and port infrastructure.

These strikes highlight Ukraine's expanding reach and capability to strike deep within Russian territory, targeting critical infrastructure and military assets.
