Ukraine conducted a series of strikes on June 29, targeting three bridges, a Russian military logistics warehouse, multiple drone command posts, and military communications facilities, according to Ukraine's General Staff. The stated aim of these operations was to degrade the military and economic potential of Russia and disrupt its command-and-control systems and logistics.
Specific targets included a road bridge near Novoazovsk in Donetsk Oblast and two railway bridges in Luhansk Oblast, which Ukraine claims are used for transporting military supplies. A logistics warehouse near Novosvitlivka in Luhansk Oblast was also hit. Additionally, Ukrainian forces reportedly struck three Russian drone command posts in Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk Oblasts, as well as in Russia's Kursk Oblast, and an electronic warfare command post in Donetsk Oblast.
Further analysis confirmed the destruction of one military communications facility and significant damage to another near Minyaevo in Russia's Moscow Oblast following a strike on June 26. The General Staff indicated that Ukraine will continue these systematic disruptions. These actions are part of a broader campaign by Kyiv to undermine Russia's ability to sustain its invasion by targeting infrastructure within occupied Ukraine and Russia. President Volodymyr Zelensky recently approved a plan for a 40-day campaign aimed at increasing pressure on Russia to end the war.
