The Taliban has implemented a ban on smartphone usage for government officials, with the directive taking effect this week. The order, issued by the Taliban’s military courts, prohibits all ranks of government employees from using mobile phones, threatening violators with having their devices smashed and facing legal and Sharia punishment.
