Russian forces carried out extensive attacks across Ukraine over the past day, resulting in at least 10 civilian deaths and more than 80 injuries, according to regional authorities. The assaults included missile and drone strikes targeting multiple regions.
Kyiv was struck by an overnight ballistic missile attack that injured at least 11 people and damaged buildings in four districts. This was part of a broader assault where Russia launched 12 missiles, including six ballistic, and 121 attack and decoy drones. Ukraine's air defenses reported shooting down most of the incoming threats, but some munitions and drones hit targets in 11 locations.
In Donetsk Oblast, seven civilians were killed and 21 injured as Russian forces shelled settlements 44 times. Kharkiv Oblast reported two deaths and three injuries from attacks on eight settlements. Zaporizhzhia Oblast experienced one death and 30 injuries from 1,011 strikes against 51 settlements, including the regional capital.
Further casualties were reported in other regions: three people were injured in Kherson Oblast, where critical infrastructure and residential areas were also damaged. In Sumy Oblast, six people were injured during nearly 60 attacks on 26 settlements. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast saw five injuries from over 30 attacks using drones, artillery, and guided aerial bombs. A civilian in Chernihiv Oblast was injured by an FPV drone attack.
