Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Russia launched 58 drones overnight, with air defenses successfully intercepting or suppressing 46 of them. However, eight drones managed to strike seven different locations.
The city of Sumy was subjected to repeated Russian strikes. An initial drone attack near a residential building injured four people, including two minors. Subsequent strikes hit the same district, leading to a large fire at a shopping center that was ultimately destroyed due to ongoing aerial threats preventing firefighting efforts.
In Donetsk Oblast, four people were killed and 13 others were injured. Odesa Oblast reported three deaths and eight injuries following an attack on a civilian factory. Kharkiv Oblast sustained two fatalities and 15 injuries, including a child. Zaporizhzhia Oblast recorded one death and 16 injuries. Kherson Oblast reported 23 injuries, including a child, and one additional man was wounded later.
Chernihiv Oblast saw two people injured by drone debris, and a later strike hit an administrative building and a nearby university. A house was also struck, though its occupants, a mother and child, miraculously survived.
