Pakistan conducted "precise and calibrated" overnight air strikes targeting alleged terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan, claiming to have killed 26 individuals. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated that the strikes were in response to recent terrorist incidents within Pakistan and targeted militant hideouts and safe havens on the border, destroying four targets.
However, the Afghan government reported that Pakistani air strikes in Kunar, Khost, and Paktika provinces killed 13 people, including 11 children, one woman, and one elderly man, while injuring 14 others. Afghan government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid accused Pakistan of violating Afghanistan's airspace and bombing civilian homes.
