At least 14 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, with further casualties reported from strikes on a funeral procession and a tent housing displaced people. The Gaza Health Ministry reported the deaths and stated that 51 other people were taken to the hospital with injuries.
One of the deadliest incidents involved a drone strike targeting a funeral procession for a Palestinian killed earlier in the day. Eight people were killed and 20 injured in the attack in the Al-Balata market area of Nuseirat refugee camp. Witnesses reported the drone targeted mourners gathered outside the Ahmad Yassin Mosque.
In another incident, two Palestinians, including a child, were killed in an Israeli strike on a tent housing displaced people in Remal, west of Gaza City. This followed earlier Israeli attacks in Gaza City, Deir el-Balah, and Khan Younis.
The Israeli military confirmed carrying out a strike in central Gaza, claiming to have targeted a "terrorist" cell.
