In a separate incident, four Palestinians, including children, were killed and others injured on Thursday when Israeli artillery shelled the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in northeastern Gaza City. Israeli drones targeted civilians near the Al-Sanafur intersection in the same neighborhood, killing 23-year-old Mohammad Saeed Al-Rifi. Jerusalem Hospital received five injuries after an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped an explosive device near the Bank of Palestine in central Gaza City.
Medical sources indicated that at least 42 Palestinians had been killed since dawn on Thursday due to intensified Israeli bombardment. The ongoing Israeli offensive since October 2023 has resulted in at least 65,141 documented Palestinian fatalities and over 165,925 injured, with thousands more feared trapped under rubble.
On Tuesday evening, two civilians, including a child, were killed and at least 15 others injured when Israeli artillery shelled a house in the al-Sanafour area of Gaza City. In the southern Gaza Strip, a civilian was injured by Israeli forces' fire near Khan Yunis. Several others were injured after artillery shelled al-Daraj School, which is sheltering displaced people.
On Wednesday, hospitals in Gaza reported at least 17 deaths, six of them children, from Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire in the south and north of the strip. Al-Shifa hospital received 13 bodies, including five children, from strikes on eastern Gaza City, while Nasser hospital in Khan Younis received four bodies, including one child, from strikes on displaced people's encampments. Heavy shelling was reported east of the al-Bureij Refugee Camp. The Israeli military stated it conducted precision strikes in response to a cease-fire violation after militants opened fire.
