The number of Iranian cyberattacks against Israel has significantly increased, with incidents rising from approximately 1,600 in June 2025 to around 4,800 in June 2026, according to Yossi Karadi, Director General of Israel's National Cyber Directorate. Karadi told the German newspaper Die Welt that the surge occurred since the launch of a U.S.-Israeli offensive against Iran this year. He noted that some attacking groups are highly skilled and target critical infrastructure, central organizations, and small to medium-sized companies, including law practices and accounting firms. Karadi stated that while attacks on critical infrastructure have been fended off, some systems of easier-to-penetrate companies have been wiped.
