Maritime trade between Iran and Qatar has resumed following a suspension of approximately five months, according to Iran's commercial attaché in Doha. Abbas Abdolkhani informed state media on Sunday that shipping between Iran's Dayyer port and Qatar's Al Ruwais port is active again.
This development follows an interim deal between Tehran and Washington that ended hostilities after a four-month conflict and mandated a return to pre-war maritime traffic in the Gulf. The two ports primarily serve regional trade, with Dayyer port having been impacted multiple times during the conflict.
The reactivation of the trade route was achieved through coordinated efforts between the Iranian embassy in Doha and Qatari authorities.
