India has significantly advanced its defence capabilities with the successful completion of three consecutive flight tests of its ballistic missile defence systems. These tests, overseen by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), demonstrated a multi-layered defence architecture capable of intercepting long-range ballistic missile threats.
In addition to ballistic missile defence, the tests also validated India's medium-range anti-ship defence capabilities through the maiden flight of the Naval Anti-Ship Missile-Medium Range system. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced the successful outcomes, emphasizing that the interceptors engaged their targets effectively.
