Explosions were heard across Iranshahr city around 12:30 AM local time, with Iranian state news agency IRNA and Mehr News Agency reporting the damage to airport facilities. The deputy governor of Sistan and Baluchestan province confirmed one firefighter died while responding to the attack.
US Central Command confirmed additional military strikes targeting Iranian capabilities linked to the Strait of Hormuz. This latest escalation follows President Donald Trump's declaration that the Iran ceasefire was 'over' amid renewed exchanges of fire between American and Iranian forces.
