Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and elected to bat first in the third and final one-day international against Australia on Sunday, with the hosts aiming to complete a series sweep.
Regular captain Mehidy Hasan was ruled out of the match after sustaining a blow to the head from a bouncer delivered by Nathan Ellis during the second game. Shanto stated that Mehidy is being monitored by doctors but is okay.
