Ukraine strikes bridges and military targets in Crimea

Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Russian-installed head of Sevastopol, stated that 33 Ukrainian drones were shot down and reported one civilian injury and damage to residential buildings. However, he did not report damage to critical infrastructure. Residents in Sevastopol reported missile launches and multiple explosions, with impacts near military facilities in Komyshova, Kozacha, and Striletska bays, areas known to host facilities for Russia's Black Sea Fleet.

Several bridges along the North Crimean Canal, crucial for logistics to occupied territories, were also reportedly hit. Volodymyr Saldo, the Russian-installed head of Kherson Oblast, confirmed damage to bridges near Preobrazhenka and Myrne, as well as a road bridge on the Perekop–Armiansk route and another near Stavky. The pro-Ukrainian channel Crimean Wind also reported a bridge in Armiansk and another near Krasnoperekopsk were struck, suggesting that overland approaches to the peninsula may be significantly impacted.

These strikes follow previous Ukrainian attacks on the Chonhar Bridge on June 9 and June 7, which connect mainland Ukraine with Crimea. Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation stated that the Chonhar Bridge was destroyed, with a pontoon crossing subsequently installed. The recent attacks are seen as part of an ongoing Ukrainian effort to disrupt Russian military logistics, including the transport of fuel and supplies.
