Ripple's partner Thunes has launched real-time payment capabilities in the United States, enabling access to ACH, Same-Day ACH, and all real-time payment rails through a direct connection with a Tier 1 financial institution. This development is expected to strengthen XRP's role in global payments. Thunes, which holds 50 Money Transmitter Licenses and operates across 140 countries, has integrated blockchain and digital asset technology into its network, leveraging Ripple payments. Over 140 countries can now send money to the US through rails connected to Ripple technology. The XRP Ledger's real-world asset (RWA) ecosystem recently surpassed $3 billion in tokenized value, with future growth anticipated in tokenized cash and cash-equivalent assets like money market funds and US Treasury bills.
This expansion of real-time payment capabilities by a key Ripple partner into the US market could enhance XRP's utility as a bridge asset for cross-border transactions and signals growing institutional interest in the XRP Ledger's RWA ecosystem.
