Organizers for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics have announced a second public ticket sale will be held from August 10-20, following a successful initial release where over 4 million tickets were sold. The first sale saw significant demand from residents in the Los Angeles and Oklahoma City areas, who purchased nearly 75% of the available tickets. This included approximately 500,000 tickets priced at $28 and 95% of all tickets offered under $100.
The upcoming second sale will feature tickets across all Olympic sports and price categories, subject to availability. Fans interested in participating must register by July 22 for a random draw that will assign purchase time slots. Those selected will be notified between August 6-7.
Prior to the general sale, a Visa cardholder presale is scheduled from July 29-31. Selected fans for this presale will be notified by July 27 and will not be eligible for the second public drop. Purchase limits are set at a maximum of 12 Olympic event tickets per buyer, with an additional limit of 12 soccer tournament tickets. Ceremonies tickets are capped at four per buyer and count towards the overall 12-ticket Olympic maximum.
Tickets from the initial sale were purchased by individuals from 85 countries, all 50 U.S. states, and U.S. territories. Los Angeles is set to host the Summer Olympics for the third time in 2028, having previously hosted in 1932 and 1984.
