Air India crash victims' families seek answers one year later

Suresh Khatik, whose 25-year-old daughter Payal was on the flight, expressed the enduring pain and the need to understand why the accident occurred. He noted that while compensation was received, it did not bring his daughter back, and their home would forever have a void. Payal's siblings are continuing her dream by pursuing higher education.

Similarly, Suresh Mistry, who lost his daughter Kinal, questioned who was responsible for the crash. He shared that his daughter was traveling to England for work and that his family's world has been completely altered by her death. Mistry, like Khatik, stated that compensation has arrived, but answers have not.

The Federation of Indian Pilots (FIP), through its president CS Randhawa, has moved the Supreme Court seeking a judicial probe into the crash. Randhawa has indicated that the FIP will pursue legal avenues if there are any doubts about the final investigation report. He also urged victim families to unite and advocate for a memorial to honor those who died.
