Cameron Thomas, the Liberal Democrat MP for Tewkesbury, has been arrested on suspicion of controlling and coercive behaviour and assault. Gloucestershire Police arrested the 43-year-old on Wednesday and subsequently released him on police bail. The Liberal Democrats confirmed that Thomas has had the party whip and his membership suspended pending the outcome of the police investigation. Thomas, who previously served for 23 years in the RAF and as a military police officer, became the MP for Tewkesbury in 2024.
