Concurrently, Indian state-owned banks reported a sharp rise in green deposits, collecting Rs 3,733.11 crore in FY26, a significant increase from Rs 1,831.79 crore in the prior year. These funds are directed towards renewable energy and clean transportation initiatives, adhering to the RBI's Green Deposit Framework.
