Investment firm General Atlantic has chosen JPMorgan Chase to lead its initial public offering, according to a source familiar with the matter. This move revives listing plans that had been stalled for nearly three years. The New York-based company has also enlisted Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs for the IPO, which could potentially occur before the end of this year. Discussions are ongoing, and the number of banks involved may change. General Atlantic had confidentially filed for a listing in December 2023 but postponed the offering due to market volatility. The U.S. IPO market has shown signs of recovery recently, with strong investor sentiment encouraging more companies to go public, exemplified by the prominent listing of Elon Musk's SpaceX earlier this year. General Atlantic manages approximately $130 billion in assets and has invested $121 billion since its inception, with its global portfolio including companies like Anthropic, PhonePe, and Banamex.
