Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange, has launched a new feature called Stock+ that allows users to purchase real US stocks directly using digital assets like USDC. This initiative aims to integrate traditional financial markets with the crypto ecosystem, enabling users to trade equities and digital assets from a single platform.
Unlike synthetic products or derivatives, Stock+ offers direct ownership of shares, providing users with rights to cash dividends and adjustments for stock splits. Trading hours align with US pre-market, regular, and after-hours sessions. Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, stated that the feature represents the next evolution of the company's Universal Exchange vision, emphasizing the importance of ownership and flexibility in bridging financial markets.
In addition to crypto-funded purchases, Stock+ facilitates inbound stock transfers from participating brokers, allowing users to consolidate their US equity holdings. This development follows Bitget's early June 2026 upgrade to its stock services, which included the launch of the Reality RWA protocol and its tokenized stocks (rToken). Bitget has already listed over 500 US stocks and ETFs, with its rToken AUM surpassing $50 million.
To commemorate the launch, Bitget is offering promotional trading fees starting at 0.1% with a 50% discount available until August 31, 2026. Bitget serves over 125 million users and offers a wide range of assets, including crypto tokens, tokenized stocks, ETFs, commodities, and FX.
