Sunil Singhania-backed Abakkus Small Cap Fund has expanded its investment portfolio by adding three new stocks and increasing its stake in 51 existing holdings during May. The new additions to the portfolio include Tanla Platforms, Intellect Design Arena, and Q-Line Biotech. The fund also significantly boosted its holdings in major banking stocks like HDFC Bank and State Bank of India.
Among the other 49 stocks where the fund increased its exposure, Equitas Small Finance Bank saw the largest addition of nearly 8 lakh shares, bringing the total holding to 27 lakh shares. Edelweiss Financial Services, Urban Company, and NCC also saw substantial share additions. The fund maintained its exposure in eight stocks, including several Vedanta group companies, and did not make any complete exits from its holdings.
As of May 31, 2026, the Abakkus Small Cap Fund's portfolio comprised 62 stocks, an increase from 59 in the previous month. The investments are diversified across 21 sectors, with healthcare and banking sectors receiving the largest allocations at 13.02% and 8.34%, respectively. The highest allocation as a percentage of Net Asset Value (NAV) was in Cemindia Projects at 1.97%, followed by Welspun Corporation at 1.96%.
Since its inception on March 17, 2026, the fund has achieved a gain of 15.81%. Its portfolio is structured with a significant allocation to small-cap companies (73.12%), complemented by holdings in large caps (5.09%), mid caps (3.66%), and other investments (18.14%).
