The company posted revenue of $8.68 billion, surpassing analyst expectations of $8.47 billion and showing an increase from $8.29 billion in the same period last year. However, earnings per share came in at $1.26, slightly below the $1.28 estimate and down from $1.30 in the prior year.
PayPal also disclosed an $81 million non-GAAP adjustment related to gains and losses from strategic investments and crypto assets held for investment. The company stated these are excluded from non-GAAP results as they do not actively trade these assets or rely on them for operations.
