The company reported in an SEC filing that it did not purchase or sell any bitcoin during the week ended August 16, maintaining its reserve of 840,447 BTC. The proceeds were allocated to repurchase $132.2 million of its variable-rate preferred stock (STRC), fund $52.4 million in STRC dividends, and add approximately $150 million to its U.S. dollar reserve.
As of August 16, MicroStrategy's USD reserve increased to $4.8 billion. The company still has $653 million available under its preferred-stock repurchase program and $1 billion under its common-stock repurchase program. MicroStrategy also revealed it paused its Bitcoin sales last week after two consecutive weeks of selling BTC.
