Binance co-founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao has voiced support for a crypto license passporting system across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Speaking at the ASEAN Tech Summit Manila 2026, Zhao endorsed the idea, proposed by FinTech Alliance PH founding chair Lito Villanueva, which would allow crypto firms already regulated in one member state to operate in others through a streamlined approval process.
