Ukrainian agribusiness Kernel has reported a 15% increase in grain exports, reaching 6.3 million tonnes for the fiscal year. The company also set a record for transshipment of agricultural products. Despite these gains, oilseed processing decreased by 8% in FY2026 due to limited sunflower seed availability on the domestic market, a situation partially offset by processing alternative oilseeds like soybeans and rapeseed. Sales of edible oil remained relatively high, increasing by 2% for the full fiscal year, supported by sales of accumulated stocks. Grain acceptance at Kernel's elevators saw a significant 60% increase year-on-year, reaching a record 4.341 million tonnes. In the fourth quarter of FY2026, grain exports rose by 33% compared to the previous year. For the first nine months of FY2026, Kernel's net profit decreased by 5% to $208 million, while revenue increased by 0.4% to $3.092 billion and EBITDA by 1% to $403 million. In a separate report, Kernel exported 5.4 million tonnes of grain in the latest fiscal year, navigating geopolitical and logistical challenges. The company's transshipment volumes increased by 36% to 9.13 million tonnes in 2025, driven by higher edible oil exports and partner transshipment volumes. Oilseed processing rose by 8% to 3.5 million tonnes, supported by flexible sourcing. In the second quarter of FY2026, Kernel processed 995,000 tons of oilseeds, a 2% increase year-on-year, with sunflower seeds comprising 85% of the volume. Edible oil sales in Q2 FY2026 were on par with the previous year, but first-half sales exceeded the prior year by 30%. Grain acceptance in the first six months of FY2026 reached 3.5 million tons, a 35% increase year-on-year. Kernel's grain exports in Q2 FY2026 were up 10% year-on-year.
